In this famous mountain range, powerful thunderstorms occasionally send lightning deep into the quartz-bearing rock, leaving unmistakable evidence of that extraordinary encounter within the crystal itself.

One of this specimen's most remarkable features is the lightning strike itself. The strike travels the length of the crystal and continues all the way into the termination, where it remains clearly visible without destroying the point. This preserved termination makes the crystal especially appealing, allowing you to appreciate both its original natural growth and the dramatic effects of the lightning.

For such a compact crystal, it offers an impressive collection of natural features. Two beautifully formed window faces are present on the termination, inviting you to look deep into the crystal's interior. Frosted Lemurian growth lines accent portions of the faces, while attractive natural etching adds texture and character throughout.

Turn the crystal in the light and subtle internal rainbows appear from the lower portion of the crystal, adding flashes of color to an already fascinating specimen.
