I have to tell you, I was absolutely floored by the craftsmanship of this extraordinary Lavender Jade master carved skull! The material is beautiful on its own, but seeing it transformed into such an intricately detailed carving takes it to an entirely different level. I am completely in love with this piece.

Carved from the remarkable new Lavender Jade material from Turkey, this skull displays a gorgeous combination of lavender, dusty violet, soft pink, and muted gray tones. Natural variations flow across the surface, with darker purple areas and delicate dendritic-looking markings across the top that give the skull incredible character.

Be sure to watch the video of this skull! The video is the best way to appreciate the beautiful coloration, the intricate natural patterns across the crown, and the remarkable details of the carving. The shifting lavender and gray tones are stunning, and the natural markings almost look like tiny branching landscapes running across the surface.

MASTER CARVED BY ROY

This is no ordinary carved skull. The piece is first machined down to size, then individually hand carved by Roy, whose craftsmanship is evident in every detail.

The teeth are absolutely amazing! Each tooth is carefully defined, creating a remarkably realistic appearance. The sculpting around the eye sockets, nasal cavity, cheekbones, jaw, and back of the skull is equally impressive. The proportions are beautifully executed, and the polished surface enhances the natural colors of the material without taking away from the intricate carving.

At approximately 1 1/2 inches wide by 1 1/4 inches deep and 2 inches tall, this is a wonderfully detailed little sculpture. It has substantial visual presence despite its compact size, making it a striking addition to a gemstone carving collection, crystal display, or collection of unusual skull carvings.

THE STORY BEHIND LAVENDER JADE

This is a particularly exciting material because it is so new to the gemstone market. According to the information shared with me by Ashley, a representative associated with the mine, Lavender Jade was discovered by a geologist approximately six years ago and comes from a single mine in Turkey.

I had the pleasure of meeting Ashley at the Denver Gem Show, where she explained the story behind this unusual material. I was immediately drawn to the beautiful lavender coloration, and meeting the people connected with the mine made the discovery even more special. They were genuinely lovely people, and I came away feeling wonderful about both the material and the people bringing it to market.

According to the information provided by the mine's representative, the distinctive lavender coloration is associated with manganese, rather than the chromium or iron commonly responsible for the green coloration found in many varieties of jade.

This gives Lavender Jade its own remarkable palette of lavender, violet, dusty pink, and gray. In this carving, those colors combine with natural-looking dendritic patterns and darker markings to create a skull that is every bit as interesting from a mineral perspective as it is from an artistic one.

Because this material is so new to the market and is sourced from a single mine according to supplier information, it is an exciting find for collectors who appreciate unusual gemstone materials.

A COLLECTOR'S CARVING

What makes this skull so special is the combination of three things: an unusual new material, beautiful natural coloration, and exceptional carving craftsmanship. Roy has taken a stone with its own individual character and created a miniature sculpture that deserves to be examined closely.

The teeth alone are worth a closer look, but the natural patterns across the crown and the contrast between lavender, gray, and deeper violet make the entire piece captivating.

This is a one-of-a-kind carving. You will receive the exact skull pictured.

METAPHYSICAL PROPERTIES

In crystal traditions, lavender and purple stones are associated with intuition, spiritual awareness, inner wisdom, and tranquility. Lavender Jade may appeal to those who enjoy working with stones symbolically connected with reflection, emotional balance, and personal growth.

Skulls also have a long history of symbolic meaning in art and spiritual traditions. They can represent wisdom, remembrance, transformation, and an appreciation for the cycles of life. For many collectors, carved skulls are valued as artistic objects that encourage reflection and celebrate the skill of the carver.

The combination of Lavender Jade and the skull form makes this a particularly distinctive piece for collectors of carved gemstones, symbolic sculptures, and unusual mineral specimens.

Metaphysical properties reflect traditional beliefs and are not scientifically established.
