This beautiful Hubei turquoise freeform cabochon from China has a gorgeous combination of vivid turquoise blue-green color and warm golden-brown matrix. The contrast between the bright turquoise and earthy matrix gives this stone a wonderful natural character and plenty of visual interest.

Measuring approximately 22 mm × 40 mm, this is an elongated freeform cabochon with a graceful, organic shape. The turquoise has areas of intense blue-green color interspersed with lighter turquoise and intricate golden-brown matrix, creating a beautiful natural pattern across the polished surface.

I especially love the way the matrix appears to weave through and around the turquoise, with larger areas of earthy brown contrasting against the brighter blue-green sections. It gives the stone a distinctive, almost landscape-like appearance while still allowing the turquoise color to be the star.
