Blue Tara Quartz from Itacambira, Brazil is a new discovery as of 2022. In the early days Blue Tara Quartz was falsely labeled as a blue amphibole. Lab testing has shown there to be no mineralogical relation to amphibole. So what is it? Blue Tara quartz is composed of aluminum silicate, iron and schorl & dravite tourmaline.
