Highly Polished Bloodstone Teardrop Beads-9 x 7mm

Mined in Brazil, highly polished Bloodstone  teardrop beads. These highly polished Bloodstone beads measure 9 x 7mm. The color ranges from a very dark green, to brown, to blood red. Bloodstone is a form of Jasper where the dark green color of the stone is flecked with red, hence the name bloodstone. The red coloration arises from the presence of hematite which is a form of iron oxide. Obviously, no two strands are exactly alike. Bloodstone is said to aid in detoxification of the body and help stave off negative energies.
