Ancient, one of a kind Orthoceras fossil stone jar. This carved Orhoceras jar measures 1 1/2 x 1 3/4".  Orthoceras, also known as Orthoceratites, is an extinct genus of nautiloid cephalopod that roamed the seas during the Ordovician Period 443-485 million years ago.  The name comes from the words "straight horn" which describe its long cone-like shape. Orthoceras creatures ranged in size from a centimeter to 14 ft. long. These fossils are usually found on a rock matrix of limestone. Orthoceras is known to be a powerful meditation crystal connecting the holder to ancient Earth and all its knowledge. Also a transformation crystal, Orthoceras will guide you to a better understanding of who you were, who you are, and who you will become. Wouldn't this ancient wonder make a fantastic addition to your stone grid, or as a display piece in your home. Perhaps a nice jewelry holder as well. Don't miss out, this one of a kind Orthoceras jar won't last long.
