There is a carved groove around the side of the cabochon which makes it ideal for wire-wrapping designs. Crazy Lace Agate is form of Chalcedony with bands of red, black, white, grey and brown in "crazy" patterns. Crazy Lace Agate is often referred to as the "laughing stone" or "happy lace".
