Highly Polished Bloodstone Round Beads

Here is some really lovely bloodstone just for you. These stunning beads are a nice versatile 8mm in size. The color ranges from a very dark green, to brown, to blood red. Bloodstone is a form of Jasper where the dark green color of the stone is flecked with red, hence the name bloodstone. The red coloration arises from the presence of hematite which is a form of iron oxide. Obviously, no two strands are exactly alike. Bloodstone is said to aid in detoxification of the body and help stave off negative energies.
